Young investigator Speaker award
Rules for competition at the 28th Pediatric Work Physiology conference

1 - Prizes will be given for the best oral presentations by young investigators.

2 - Young investigator is defined as those registered for a PhD and not more than 2 years post PhD.

3 - Candidates must confirm their entry for the competition prior to the start of the conference.

4 - Judges are chosen on the basis of their knowledge and experience of the subject matter.

5 - Awards will be selected on the basis of excellence.

6 - Judging criteria on a scale of 1-5:

     - Scientific novelty and importance of work

     - Technical and methodological achievements of the study

     - Clarity and accuracy of presentation and illustration

     - Clear demonstration of a substantial personal contribution by the candidate

7 - The winners will have the highest total scores.

8 - In the event of a tie the final decision will be made firstly by negotiation between the judges, in a failure to resolve, the organising chair will make the final decision.

9 - Results will be announced at the conference dinner.
